Ian lives in Pleasanton, California with his family. He is 18 years old and, like most racers at this age, is working hard to balance the demands of school and racing.

Ian has been racing since he was 8 years old. He started racing sprint karts in Northern California, working his way through the various classes and ultimately graduated to shifter karts.

This year, Ian is driving the number 81 family-owned midget in the California Division of the USAC Ford Focus Series. Ian hopes to leverage everything he's learned about oval racing into a successful 2008. A further goal for him this season is to learn as much of the details about the mechanicals and dynamics of the car as he can.
